Key questions that help me:
What did it make me feel/think/remember?
How did it invoke that reaction? Why
did this emerge at this time in this society? Nobody
writes perfectly the first time. We
all need to Brainstorm; Outline; Let the ideas percolate; Find a “Devil’s
advocate;” Revise; Rewrite; and Proofread. If you aren’t happy with something revise it—don’t throw it out and start over. |
